The Newland House is such a treasure to Huntington Beach and I am so fortunate to be able to spend time in such a wonderfully historic place :3 Especially being the only one in period dress there and talking to newcomers about it's history. In other words, the open house was very splendid!

ahhhh!

I finally went out to Jo-Ann's and purchased some lovely cotton cream batiste for my Newland waist. And began inserting all that pretty pretty lace into the yoke of the waist. All the lace is hand sewn to the batiste.
